Veritas et Vita's Mission
Veritas et Vita is a Catholic organization committed to promoting the dignity of human life and protecting the most vulnerable and innocent through peaceful advocacy and protest. Rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church and inspired by Pope Saint John Paul II’s Gospel of Life, Veritas et Vita seeks to build vibrant Catholic communities and uphold the sanctity of the family as the cornerstone of a just and compassionate society.
Our Engagements
Education
Pro-life education also includes respect for life across its entire spectrum—defending the unborn, caring for the poor and vulnerable, opposing violence and exploitation, and promoting policies that uphold human dignity.
Public Witness
Catholics are called to bear public witness to the sanctity of life through peaceful activism, civic engagement, and support of pro-life legislation. Education should empower the faithful to defend life in all areas of society.
Outreach
Rosary Walks / Life Chains: Public recitation of the Rosary or peaceful gatherings along roadsides holding signs with pro-life messages.
Community
Veritas et Vita strives to build a vibrant community of Catholics united in love for Jesus Christ, fidelity to His teachings, and a deep reverence for the family. Together, let us joyfully promote the gift of life—and help save the lives of the most innocent among us!
Formation of Conscience
The Church calls for education that forms consciences in truth. Parents, educators, and pastors are urged to guide the faithful—especially the young—in understanding moral truths regarding life, sexuality, and human dignity.
Our Focus
Guiding Principles
The Catholic Church's main focus in its pro-life efforts is the protection and sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. This central teaching is rooted in the belief that every human being is created in the image and likeness of God, and therefore has inherent dignity and value.

Sanctity of Life
At the core of the Church’s pro-life stance is the belief that every human being is created in the image of God and, therefore, possesses intrinsic dignity. This conviction leads to the protection of life at all stages—from the moment of conception to natural death. This teaching is grounded in both Scripture and centuries of theological reflection, as well as pivotal documents like Pope John Paul II’s encyclical Evangelium Vitae ("The Gospel of Life"), which articulates a consistent ethic of life.

Promotion of a “Culture of Life”
Recognizing that the decision to bring a child into the world is deeply personal and challenging, the Church supports initiatives that foster strong family bonds, provide resources for parents, and encourage adoption and other life-affirming alternatives.

Educational and Legislative Efforts
-
Educational Outreach: Through seminars, workshops, and pastoral counseling, Catholic institutions aim to educate believers and the broader public on the moral implications of life-based issues.
-
Engagement in Public Policy: The Catholic Church, along with various affiliated organizations, often engages with lawmakers to promote legislation that defends life—be it through funding for pregnancy support programs, legal restrictions on abortion practices, or regulations addressing end-of-life care. This advocacy seeks to influence both local and national policies that align with the Church’s pro-life ethics.
